On October 20, Alliance for Justice Action Campaign presented a post-presidential debate analysis call featuring Constitutional law experts Dean Erwin Chemerinsky of the University of California, Irvine, School of Law, and Professor Jamal Greene of Columbia University Law School.
Addressing justice issues raised in the final presidential debate, Prof. Greene noted that Donald Trump’s remarks suggesting he would refuse to accept the results of the presidential election were a “dangerous and unprecedented form of incitement.” Dean Chemerinsky noted that Trump’s threats notwithstanding, no national mechanism exists for contesting presidential elections. Speakers also addressed Supreme Court-related issues from the debate including abortion rights, the Second Amendment, and the nomination of Merrick Garland.
Nan Aron, President of Alliance for Justice Action Campaign, moderated the event.
