Take Action for Overdue Judicial Nominees!

Justice-centered courts are vital to protecting our democracy. The only way to bring balance to the federal judiciary is for the Senate to confirm equal justice champions right now, making room for it to act on many more between now and 2025.

The Senate can make the choice to strengthen our federal courts. First, the Senate must confirm at least ten nominees awaiting confirmation votes immediately. Second, everyone voted out of committee this year must get a confirmation vote in our push to fill every seat.

Tell the Senate to Fill Every Seat!

The end of term for the Supreme Court was filled with controversial decisions that will have a lasting effect on the American people. Lower courts are our next line of defense against this activist court and they must be prioritized, yet there are currently over 100 judicial vacancies. Tell the Senate they must move to fill every one of them by the end of 2022!

Take Action on Reproductive Freedom

On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey – decisions that had been the law of the land for decades. We have a duty — to justice, to the Constitution, and to each other — to fight back! We must take action to take back our courts by filling every lower courts vacancy by 2023 and expanding the Supreme Court.

Protect Roe

On May 2, 2022, a draft opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization by Justice Samuel Alito leaked, showing that the Supreme Court’s conservative majority is planning to overturn people’s constitutional right to an abortion as established in Roe v. Wade and affirmed in Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

Confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson

The time has come, and President Biden has met his historic commitment to nominate the first Black woman to the U.S. Supreme Court. Now is the time to stand up for Black women and take action to get Ketanji Brown Jackson confirmed.

A Justice for All

Justice Stephen Breyer has announced that he will retire at the end of this Supreme Court term upon confirmation of his successor, and President Biden pledged to name a Supreme Court nominee by the end of February. President Biden has said that he will fulfill his promise of nominating the first Black woman to the Supreme Court, and we need to take action to get her confirmed.

Confirm Dale Ho and Nancy Abudu

President Biden has nominated Dale Ho to the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and Nancy Abudu to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Now, we must take action to get them confirmed. Dale Ho has extensive experience at every level of the federal court system, and is eminently qualified to serve as a federal judge. Ms. Abudu’s work as a civil rights litigator has touched every state in the Eleventh Circuit. If confirmed, she would be the first Black woman on the Circuit and the first person of color from Georgia to serve on this court. The confirmations of Dale Ho and Nancy Abudu are crucial for ensuring our courts are not rigged in favor of those who seek to dismantle core tenets of our democracy. Tell your Senators to confirm Dale Ho and Nancy Abudu! Call them now: 844-706-6636.

State Courts Matter

State courts decide over 95% of all cases in the United States – which means they are making the decisions that affect your community, your safety, and your rights. These courts have the last word for millions of workers, consumers, women, students, people with disabilities and pre-existing conditions, and more. They also play a critical role in protecting our democracy, making decisions on voting rights and redistricting.
