Donald Trump’s administration is taking aim at the rights of workers, women, people of color, LGBTQ people, and immigrants. He and his right-wing, corporate-interest cronies want to roll back protections for the environment and put our health and safety at risk, at home and in the workplace.
And now, our courts are at risk of becoming rubber stamps for Trump’s harmful, radical agenda. We can’t let that happen.
Thanks to Republicans’ stonewalling of President Obama’s nominees for the federal courts, Donald Trump inherited scores of vacant seats on the bench: seats he is now moving to fill by nominating hard-right, ideological judges who share his values and priorities, not ours. Donald Trump has an outsize opportunity to shape our court system for decades to come, all because of the many vacant seats he could fill.
But there is a way to resist. We can tell our Senators: don’t vote to confirm judges who won’t uphold the rights of all Americans. Vote no on judges who don’t share our belief that the Constitution protects all of us, not just the rich, powerful and privileged.
Our courts are the last line of protection against a Trump administration that is putting real people’s lives at risk through its abusive and radical actions. It’s up to us to make sure our Senators know we want them to act. Tell your Senators today: don’t Trump Our Courts.
