Past Campaign:
Stop Barrett

Update: On October 31, 2017, the Senate voted to confirm Amy Coney Barrett to a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, which is headquartered in Chicago and covers Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.

Donald Trump nominated Barrett because he believes that she, like other Trump nominees, would be a rubber stamp for his radical agenda, which threatens women, workers, LGBTQ people, immigrants, and people of color. But Barrett’s views are even more dangerous than most. As a law professor, she’s written that judges do not have to follow precedent.  She has staked out clear positions against a woman’s right to choose to have an abortion.

Our courts are the last line of protection against a Trump administration that is putting real people’s lives at risk through its abusive and radical actions.  The confirmation of Barrett is a deeply concerning step.
