Tell the White House and Congress to Fill Every Seat
In the past three years, we have made incredible progress to confirm demographically and professionally diverse movement lawyers as federal judges, yet we still have more work to do. The Biden administration has fallen behind the pace set by the previous administration for federal judicial confirmations at this point in their administrations, and there are over 80 federal court vacancies across the country. We have a narrowing window in 2024 before the end of the 118th Congress to fill every seat with judges committed to equal justice. Alliance for Justice, along with member organizations and coalition partners, are urging the Biden administration and the Senate to capitalize on this available window to get as many judicial nominees confirmed as possible.
Now is the time to take action to get every federal judicial vacancy filled. We need movement judges that will be dedicated to protecting the rights of ALL people.
